USA: New President & Chief Operating Officer for Lakeport Brewing
Lakeport Brewing Income Fund announced on May 09 the appointment of George Croft to the additional position of Chief Operating Officer of the Fund effective May 1, 2006. Mr. Croft was appointed Lakeport's President in May 2005 and will continue in that position.
In his expanded role, Mr. Croft will be responsible for all of the Fund's operational and commercial matters. He will continue to report directly to Teresa Cascioli who will remain as the Fund's Chair and Chief Executive Officer.
"Lakeport has made a tremendous impact on the Ontario beer industry within the past few years. We have achieved remarkable growth. We have put in place an exceptional team of talented individuals who have extensively contributed to that success. I am pleased to Mr. Croft officially becoming President and Chief Operating Officer as my partner as we continue to grow our business," Said Teresa Cascioli, Chair and Chief Executive Officer.
"Lakeport is at an exciting point in its history. We continue to reach and win over more and more customers across Ontario and I am enthusiastic about what we can accomplish in the coming years," George Croft said. "I appreciate the Board of Trustees' confidence and their endorsement of Teresa's recommendation that I take on additional responsibilities as COO.
